He was born in Isfahan

My uncle Sia, born Abdol Reza KHAGHANI MAALATI. Iranian, biologist, communist, physician, and very good at mathematics, he was born in Isfahan around 1930. He died in Dammarie-les-Lys in April 2002, after choosing to not seek treatment for his illness. I owe him many very good memories, and probably also my love for mathematics. His ashes rest at the foot of a tree in the forest of Fontainebleau.
