The little girl wanted to ride a bike

Inspired both by the Paris 2024 Olympics and by the great Saudi Arabian drama film “WADJDA” by Haifaa AL-MANSOUR (2012). This film was the first feature-length film written and directed by a female Saudi director. It won many awards around the world.

“You Must Believe in Spring (2)”

Title borrowed from the album “YOU MUST BELIEVE IN SPRING” by jazz pianist Bill EVANS (1929-1980), recorded in 1977 by Bill EVANS, bassist Eddie GOMEZ and drummer Eliot ZIGMUND. The track “You Must Believe in Spring” was written by Michel LEGRAND, Jacques DEMY, Alan BERGMAN and Marilyn BERGMAN for the French musical film “The Young Girls of Rochefort” by Jacques DEMY (1967).
